Dear
Participants: 1)
Parade judges will be wandering through the assembly (marshaling) area and will also be located in the area of Sobeys
(the presenting sponsor for the parade) on Herring Cove Rd. 2)
Please remember no
throwing of candy or other objects to spectators from vehicles.
You are however welcome to go to the parade sidelines and hand
out candy or other objects. 3)
Please try to continue on the parade route at an even pace.
Not too fast -- not too slow, just the right speed for the parade
watchers to enjoy. Please do
not allow large gaps to
form between yourself and the group in front or behind you.
Marching/cheerleading groups in particular are to keep this in
mind – This is a number one
(#1) complaint from spectators. 4)
Due to the fact that this is a Santa Claus Parade and that Santa Claus
is on the last entry – we would ask that there be no other Santa
Claus’ in the remainder of the parade. 5)
We have the use of the out bound lane of Herring Cove Road from Punch
Bowl Drive to Old Sambro Road
(Fire Station) from there we have two (2) out bound lanes to Dentith
Road and into South Centre Mall. 6)
Please park floats in front of the South Centre Mall - where parade
staff direct your entry .
(Secure all valuables and/or leave someone with your entry) 7)
Awards
will be presented in front of the Malls main doors. We encourage all
parade participants to attend the ceremony.
Show us your group and community spirit. 8)
The most important -- last but not least.
On behalf of the entire committee, once again thank you for your
participation in the 33rd Annual Spryfield Santa Claus Parade.
This event is solely organized and run by volunteers from your
community. We hope you
enjoy the parade and that you will join us next year for our
34th
Annual Spryfield Santa Claus Parade - last
Sunday
in November.
A special thanks to all of the volunteers and Parade Committee
Members. We wish you and your family a safe and enjoyable Holiday
Season. Note: numerous sponsors have made this event possible – please support those businesses and organizations that have supported this community event. |
